Day-1

 We started from Philippe's house at 7.15 am. After some photos, we went to english bay where a young man from Lannion was waiting for us. I did many races with his father. He arrived two days ago and would be at the starting point to say good luck.

I started to run at 8.22 am with a polish, Chris, who lived many years in Montreal, before he arrived in the west coast. It was pleasant to do the first 16th kilometers with him.

 Enjoy your first Vancouver Marathon on the 1st of May, Chris ! 

There was many traffic all the day and dangerous to run in some places. In France, i'm pretty sure i'll be dead this evening :)) Seb did a good job all day long, and now is preparing the dinner. The weather was fine and sunny. We are in the middle of nowhere, so no internet connection... Our phone's batteries are empty and with the capricious generator, impossible to charge them …

Tomorrow, i will try to stop my race in a city and may be we could have some connections...

Rencontre sympathique avec Florimond Le Goff, de Lannion, venu passer un an au Canada et arrivé à peine 3 jours avant mon départ.... Il tenait à me saluer avant de partir ! Super sympa de partir comme ça :))

Nous sommes partis de chez Philippe à 7h15. Après quelques photos, nous sommes allés à English Bay ou un jeune Lannionais nous attendait. J'ai fait plusieurs courses avec son père. Il est arrivé il y a 2 jours et voulait être là pour nous souhaiter bonne chance.

J'ai commencé à courir à 8h22 avec un polonais, Chris, qui après avoir vécu de longues années à Montréal, est arrivé sur la côte Ouest.

C'était très agréable de faire les 16iers kilomètres avec lui.

Il y a eu beaucoup de circulation toute la journée et ce fut dangereux à de nombreux endroits. En France, je pense que je serais déjà mort :))

Seb a bien bossé toute la journée et maintenant il prépare le diner. Il a fait beau et ensoleillé toute la journée. Nous sommes au milieu de nulle part, donc pas de connexion internet... Nos batteries de téléphone sont vides et avec ce générateur capricieux, impossible de les charger.

Demain, je vais essayer de m'arrêter dans une ville et peut-être pourrons-nous nous connecter.
